RKYM Trainings

Resilient Kids Yoga and Mindfulness trainings are brain based training programs designed to support social emotional skills, emotional regulation, motor skills, focus and concentration, positive self image, and self-care strategies through the practice of Yoga and Mindfulness. Utilizing research driven principles about child development, developmental stages, neuroscience of trauma as well as neuroscience of mindfulness, and trauma informed practices, RKYM trainings are designed to support whole child development through integrating all areas of the brain and body.

Resilient Kids Yoga and Mindfulness Training Level 1: This 25 hour introductory training is for those interested in learning how to share the joy of yoga to children of all ages. With evidence-based principles on child development, learning styles, and effective teaching strategies, RKYM will provide a strong foundation in the art of teaching children's yoga.

Resilient Kids Yoga & Mindfulness in Schools Training: (Pre-req RKYM Level 1) This 25 hour training is for school teachers, mental health professionals, and yoga teachers looking to provide specialized, trauma informed yoga to children in a school or center setting. With the required RKYM Level 1 training, upon completion of this training, students will have a 50 hour certification in Resilient Kids Yoga & Mindfulness in Schools.  With evidence-based principles on child development, education, trauma, and nervous system regulation, RKYM in Schools will provide a strong foundation in the art of using yoga as a classroom management tool.

Resilient Kids Yoga & Mindfulness: A trauma Informed training for mental health providers: This 20 hour training is for mental health providers looking to utilize yoga as a tool for their clients in regulating emotions, behaviors, and managing trauma. This training utilizes therapeutic approaches including Attachment Theory, and is designed to train therapists in utilizing regulating techniques in private sessions as well as group therapy.
